Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette received a second opinion on his injured right knee Monday, and the diagnosis was a Grade 1 sprain of the lateral collateral ligament.

The injury is considered to be minor and the Blue Jays are mapping out a rehab plan for their young star, according to Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi.

Bichette was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday after aggravating his right knee while stretching during Saturday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The 22-year-old has been the Blue Jays’ best hitter through the first third of the 2020 season, batting .361 with five home runs.
