The Chicago Cubs fan base is growing.

On Nov. 2, 2016, the Cubs won their first world series in 108 years.

Long-time fans watched from their homes, surrounded by family and friends. Others took to the celebrations to the streets. Some were even lucky enough to enjoy the moment from Wrigley Field. And some fans … well they reacted in a more unconventional way.

By making babies.

A Chicago hospital says its experiencing a baby boom, approximately nine months after the Cubs won the championship.

“You can definitely say it’s been a little busy around the hospital,” Dr. Melissa Dennis told ABC News. “The number of births nearly doubled in the last few weeks, from an average of five births per day to nine.”

Some lucky parents and their babies even got a visit from the World Series trophy and the Cubs’ mascot.

In Chicago, ‘Christopher’ is old-school. That name is spelled ‘Kris’ now.
