Rangers minor league team name drink after Odor’s punch

One hard slide from Jose Bautista led to a vicious right hook by Rougned Odor that sparked a massive benches clearing brawl on Sunday.

Rougned Odor‘s punch on Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista has already become immortalized in baseball lore, and now it will be celebrated in beverage form, too.

The Frisco RoughRiders, the double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, announced Tuesday that they will start selling a “Rougie’s Red Punch” to honour Odor’s famous haymaker in Sunday’s brawl against the Blue Jays.

The drink will be available at RoughRiders home games starting Friday for an unspecified limited time, and will cost $5.15 to purchase.

Frisco officials say the drink, which will be available to fans 21 and older, will contain fruit punch, an energy drink and a secret ingredient from Odor’s native Venezuela.

The drink will be served out of a punch bowl, naturally, and will be sold in limited edition souvenir 12 oz. cups as a tribute to Odor’s jersey number (12).
