Report: Blue Jays among teams in pursuit of reliever Sergio Romo

The Toronto Blue Jays are among teams who are in pursuit of free-agent reliever Sergio Romo, MLB Network insider Jon Heyman is reporting.

Romo, 35, recorded 25 saves for the Tampa Bay Rays last season with a 10.0 SO/9 across 73 appearances and 67.1 innings pitched. New Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo was the Rays’ bench coach last season.

The right-hander earned $2.5 million in 2018.
