The Toronto Blue Jays have signed international pitching prospect Eric Pardinho, according to a report.
The five-foot-10, 155-pound native of Lucelia, Sao Paulo is ranked the No. 5 international prospect on MLB Pipeline.
A right-handed pitcher, Pardinho is armed with a fastball that has touched 95 mph, but usually hovers in the 90- to 93-mph range, according to MLB.com. The 16-year-old also throws a curveball, slider and changeup.
The deal is reportedly worth $1.4 million.
