After sending waves through MLB with a reported three-team deal involving the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins, the Los Angeles Dodgers weren’t done just yet.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan and The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers have also agreed on a trade with the Los Angeles Angels that would send outfielder Joc Pederson to Anaheim in return for infielder Luis Rengifo.
The 22-year-old Rengifo is fresh off of his first major-league season, in which he batted .238 with a .685 OPS, 33 RBIs and 7 homers in 108 games.
Pederson is a former all-star with six years of big-league experience. The 27-year-old finished 2019 with a .249 batting average and a .876 OPS, 36 home runs and 74 RBIs in 149 games.
Rengifo will join reported newly acquired Mookie Betts and David Price in Los Angeles.
