MLB will partner with HBO this season to promote hit television show Game of Thrones, according to Deadline Hollywood.

At least 19 teams will partake in the venture, which will include co-branded merchandise, ticket packages, giveaways, theme nights and social media events. Details on the promotions have not been announced yet.

Expect “a tremendous amount of tie-ins, not to mention what’s going to happen locally with each club,” said Noah Garden, MLB executive vice president of business.

The Toronto Blue Jays were not among the participating teams listed in the Deadline Hollywood report.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones, which has won several Emmy Awards during its six-year run, airs this summer. Exact dates have not been confirmed by HBO.

If this recent press release from the Milwaukee Brewers is an idea of what we can expect from the partnership, we’re all in for a treat.
