Yankees’ Michael Pineda to undergo Tommy John surgery

New York Yankees right-hander pitcher Michael Pineda will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a partially torn UCL, general manager Brian Cashman said Friday.

Pineda is 8-4 this season with a 4.39 ERA in 17 starts.
