A Phillies fan who started a blog called “Zoo With Roy” finally got his wish.
The blogger tweeted a picture on Friday morning of former ace Roy Halladay at the Philadelphia Zoo, four years and over 1,800 posts after creating the website.
He explains on his blog he thought the idea would “never happen” because of how intense Halladay appeared on the mound during his career.
The former Blue Jays star and Cy Young Award winner has shown a more comical side of himself since retiring in 2013 by joining Twitter, joking around and posting selfies.
