Arizona guard and Montreal native Bennedict Mathurin announced he'll be entering the 2022 NBA Draft.
A standout for the Wildcats, Mathurin averaged 17.7 points per game on 45 per cent shooting as well as averaging 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
A 27-point, seven-assist performance from Mathurin helped the Wildcats win the Pac-12 tournament this season, and a stellar 30-point, eight rebound game helped lift Arizona over TCU in overtime of the second round of March Madness.
Mathurin, a sophomore, put up double digit scoring in 30 of Arizona's final 31 games and was named MVP of the Pac-12 Tournament for his efforts, building off an already solid season as a freshman.
Under new Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd, Mathurin won the honour of Pac-12 Player of the Year and led Arizona to a post season berth as a No. 1 seed where they eventually fell in the Sweet 16 loss to Houston.
