The Canadian men's basketball team's FIBA World Cup qualifier against Venezuela in Edmonton on Thursday, originally scheduled to start at 9:10 p.m. ET, will now tip-off at 9:35 p.m. ET, FIBA announced.
The game is delayed due to travel issues for the Venezuelan team.
Watch the game on Sportsnet ONE or SN NOW as Canada has a chance to clinch a spot in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Canada is currently the lone unbeaten team in Americas qualifying with a record of 8-0.
If Canada clinches, it would mark the second time in a row Canada has qualified for the World Cup, which will feature 32 teams in 2023. The Nick Nurse-coached team, missing the majority of Canada's NBA players, finished 2-3 at the last edition of the tournament in 2019 in China and missed the quarterfinals.
The 2023 World Cup will serve as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The top two teams from the Americas at the tournament will earn Olympic berths.
