Former Raptors guard Jalen Harris sets CEBL scoring record

Jalen Harris is officially in the CEBL record books.

The former Toronto Raptors guard, now a member of the Saskatchewan Rattlers, set the CEBL single-game scoring record on Wednesday night when he scored 45 points in a 104-93 win over the Brampton Honey Badgers.

Harris's 45 points included the game-winning three as the Rattlers were the first to hit the target score of 104.

The 25-year-old guard was selected by the Raptors in the second round (59th overall) of the 2020 NBA Draft. In the 2020-21 season, Harris appeared in 13 games for Toronto and averaged 7.4 points and 1.3 assists per game. He scored 31 points against the Dallas Mavericks in the final game of his rookie season.

Harris also played for the G-league affiliates of the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls before making his way to the CEBL.

The Rattlers came into Wednesday's game second in the CEBL in scoring, averaging 24.8 points per game.
