Toronto Raptors guard Dalano Banton headlines the roster for Canada's AmeriCup training camp in Victoria in his national team debut.
There are 17 players in camp, which is being held in conjunction with the senior men's camp for Canada's upcoming pair of World Cup qualifying games.
Raptors assistant Nathaniel Mitchell is coaching Canada in the AmeriCup, which tips off Sept. 2 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mitchell made his Canadian head coaching debut earlier this summer at the inaugural GLOBL Jam U23 tournament.
Canada is in Group A for the AmeriCup, which is not part of the Olympic or World Cup qualifying process, and will play Brazil, Uruguay and Colombia in the group phase.
Canada went 3-1 to finish atop Group C in the FIBA AmeriCup 2022 qualifying to clinch its spot for the upcoming AmeriCup.
