Canada Basketball announced Friday the 17 athletes set to take part in U23 Women’s National Team training camp ahead of GLOBL JAM.
GLOBL JAM, the world-class international basketball showcase, returns to Toronto this summer, July 12-16, and will feature women’s and men’s Under-23 teams from around the world taking to the court at Toronto’s Mattamy Athletic Centre and broadcast nationally across Sportsnet platforms.
Training camp will take place from July 1-9 at Humber College in Toronto.
Among the training camp invitees are five athletes who starred on Canada’s GLOBL JAM winning team in 2022 in Shy Day-Wilson, Phillipina Kyei, Rosalie Mercille, Sarah Te-Biasu and Tara Wallack.

Christa Eniojukan will serve as Canada’s U23 Women’s National Team’s head coach at GLOBL JAM. Eniojukan, who is the University of York Lions women’s basketball team head coach, will be joined by assistant coaches Ajay Sharma and Tenicha Gittens and performance analyst Carrie Watts on the staff.
With a round-robin preliminary round format, Canada will face Team Africa (July 12, 5:30 PM ET), USA, who is represented by the University of Louisville Cardinals, (July 13, 5:30 PM ET) and Puerto Rico (July 15, 5:30 PM ET), before the top two teams face off for gold on July 16th at 5:00 PM ET.
