Hamilton Honey Badgers guard Duane Notice is expected to undergo surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon and will be sidelined indefinitely, the team announced Thursday.

The injury occurred near the end of Wednesday’s contest against the Edmonton Stingers, forcing the 25-year-old Toronto native to depart during the Elam Ending. He finished with 23 points.

Notice has been one of the go-to players on the Honey Badgers during the early portion of the CEBL Summer Series, and notably hit a game-winning layup to defeat the Guelph Nighthawks in the team’s second outing.
