A handful of NBA players have a little something extra to celebrate this Christmas as the first returns of all-star voting were revealed on Friday.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who is in the midst of his final season, leads all players with over 700,000 votes. Reigning MVP Stephen Curry is second on the list with 510,000 while LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers leads the pack for the Eastern Conference.
Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors currently find themselves outside of starting positions, sitting at third and seventh respectively among Eastern Conference guards.
Voting concludes on Jan. 18. Starters for the game are announced on Jan. 21 while the reserves must wait until Jan. 28.
The 65th annual All-Star Game takes place on Feb. 14 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
