OG Anunoby has been hailed as one of the most impressive rookies the Toronto Raptors have seen in quite some time.

But he isn’t just turning heads around the Greater Toronto Area, the entire NBA is beginning to take notice of the six-foot-eight, 232-pound combo forward, including Kevin Durant.

In a video he posted to YouTube where he took fan questions, Durant was asked which rookies have impressed him the most so far and right off the top he mentioned the Raptors’ Anunoby. (Skip to the 2:50 mark in the video below.)

“Rookies that caught my attention? I like OG Anunoby from Toronto. He plays hard, he can shoot it, he rebounds well,” Durant said. “He’s gonna be really good in the future.”

High praise from the Golden State Warriors superstar, but certainly not off-base as Anunoby measures to be among this season’s top rookies despite his modest stat line of 6.6 points per game on 47 per cent shooting in 18.4 minutes of action per night.

Durant also answered questions regarding who he thinks will be the next great star, how he can improve as a player and who he thinks was the toughest player to defend.
