Anthony Parker, who played three seasons with the Toronto Raptors from 2006-09, has been named the general manager of the Lakeland Magic, the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate.

Parker spent the past five years as a scout for Orlando after playing nine seasons in the NBA. The six-foot-six guard also played professional basketball in Israel before joining the Raptors. While in Toronto, Parker started in 226 games while averaging 11.9 points per game.

Along with hiring Parker as its general manager, Lakeland has named Stan Heath as its head coach heading into the 2017-18 season.

“With Anthony and Stan, we have established solid basketball leadership for our G League team in Lakeland,” said Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman in a release. “Having our G League team closely aligned and in unison with the parent club is vital to our success. Bringing Anthony and Stan on board to guide those operations and lead that group will be of great value to us.”
