The Utah Jazz have waived Derrick Rose two days after acquiring the point guard in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Teams now have 48 hours to put a claim in on Rose. If he goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent.

Rose appeared in 16 games with the Cavaliers this season. He averaged 9.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.3 minutes per game.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Washington Wizards are one team who could look to add Rose. Marc Stein, of the New York Times, adds that the Minnesota Timberwolves, whose coach Tom Thibodeau worked with Rose when both were with the Chicago Bulls, could also be interested.
