The Los Angeles Lakers have signed centre Andrew Bogut, general manager Rob Pelinka announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not released.
Bogut, 32, played 26 games as a member of the Dallas Mavericks and one with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, tallying 2.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 21.6 minutes. He infamously broke his leg less than one minute into his Cavaliers debut.
The Australia native has played in 671 career NBA games, averaging 10.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Bogut earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honours for the 2014-15 season.
