Magic centre Foyle undergoes surgery

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Magic reserve centre Adonal Foyle has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

The Magic made the announcement Wednesday.

The team said there’s no timetable for Foyle’s return, which will depend on how his knee responds to treatment.

Foyle hasn’t played in the pre-season and has only participated in a few practices because of knee soreness.

Magic coaches have touted the 34-year-old Foyle as a strong practice partner for centre Dwight Howard.

Foyle likely wouldn’t have received much playing time this season behind Howard and backup centre Marcin Gortat.
