Marc Gasol to make Raptors debut vs. Knicks

Toronto Raptors general manager Bobby Webster joins Tim and Sid to talk about acquiring Marc Gasol and much more.

Marc Gasol is set to make his Toronto Raptors debut at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks Saturday night, the team confirmed.

Gasol is expected to come off the bench for tonight with Nick Nurse saying that the rotation is “fluid” going forward.

The 34-year-old was traded by the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, C.J. Miles and a 2024 second-round draft pick, has averaged 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 33.7 minutes per game over 53 starts this season.

Gasol is a three-time all-star, most recently in 2016-17, and won the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award for the 2012-13 season.

Raptors all-star Kawhi Leonard will also play after missing Thursday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks due to left knee soreness.
