After one of the most dramatic off-seasons in franchise history, Toronto Raptors players and fans alike will be itching to see the team on the court as soon as possible.
The Raptors announced their 2018 pre-season schedule on Wednesday, which includes five games and exhibition games played in a pair of Canadian cities.
Following training camp in Vancouver the team will play its first pre-season game at Rogers Arena on Sept. 29 versus the Portland Trail-Blazers.
The team then heads to Salt Lake City for an away game against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 2 before returning home to face Australian team Melbourne United at Scotiabank Arena on Oct. 5.
On Oct. 10 the Raptors will face the Brooklyn Nets in Montreal, with pre-season drawing to a close the following night in New Orleans versus the Pelicans.
This will be the Raptors’ first season with Nick Nurse as head coach.
The Raps made major waves last month when they traded four-time all-star guard DeMar DeRozan and former 10th-overall pick Jakob Poeltl to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for 2014 Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and veteran shooting guard Danny Green.
