Raptors 905 guard Lorenzo Brown has been named NBA G League MVP.

The six-foot-five combo guard averaged team highs of 18.8 points, 8.9 assists in 32 games with the Toronto Raptors’ minor-league affiliate this season.

A G League veteran of five seasons, Brown initially signed a two-way contract with the Raptors in July, becoming the first player with previous NBA experience (he played 63 NBA games before signing with Toronto) to sign a two-way deal.

In 14 games with the Raptors this season, Brown averaged 9.9 minutes and 2.3 points per game.

Brown’s 905 are currently looking to repeat as G League champions. Trailing the Austin Spurs 1-0 in their best-of-three championship series, the 905 will be trying to force a decisive Game 3 Monday night on the road.
