Toronto Raptors forward DeMarre Carroll is set to return to the lineup for their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
Carroll has missed Toronto’s two previous games with a back injury he sustained after a bad fall during Thursday’s win against the Miami Heat.
P.J. Tucker got the start in Carroll’s absence and collected 16 points, 14 rebounds and four assists over the two games, both of which were won by the Raptors.
On the season Carroll has averaged 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, and he will reportedly slot back into the starting five for Wednesday’s game while all-star Kyle Lowry has resumed shooting with his right hand.
Lowry underwent surgery on his right wrist at the end of February and was originally projected to return for the playoffs. There is still no official return date set for Lowry.
The Raptors are 12-5 without Lowry and are currently running a six-game win streak.
