Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet will make his return from injury during Saturday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, head coach Nick Nurse told reporters.

VanVleet was named in the starting lineup after missing the past five games with a hamstring injury.

According to Nurse, VanVleet is expected to play in seven to eight-minute stints and is unlikely to play more than 25-28 minutes total against the Timberwolves.

The 25-year-old is averaging 18 points, 3.9 rebounds and seven assists per game this season, while shooting 39.4 per cent from the field and 37.2 per cent from three.
