The 2019 NBA champion Toronto Raptors will officially tip-off their championship defence on Sept. 28.

Though the team won’t be playing any real basketball that day, they’ll begin the 2019-20 season in earnest with its annual media day beginning at 10 a.m. ET at Scotiabank Arena.

The team will then travel to Quebec City to formally start training camp, which will run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 at the Laval University.

Afterwards, the Raptors will head to Japan to play a couple exhibition games at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo against the Houston Rockets on Oct. 8 and Oct. 10.

The lone pre-season contest the defending champions will play at Scotiabank Arena will be on Oct. 13 against the Chicago Bulls.

Toronto concludes its exhibition schedule with a matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 18 at Barclays Center.

The Raptors open their regular season at home on Oct. 22 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
