Toronto Raptors forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson suffered a sprained right ankle in Sunday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs and will not return.
Hollis-Jefferson suffered the injury midway through the second quarter. While passing the ball under the Spurs net, his right ankle rolled awkwardly. Hollis-Jefferson fell to the ground and had to be helped to the locker room by teammates.
The 25-year-old has been a solid contributor off the bench for the Raptors this season. In 37 games he is averaging 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and is shooting 46 per cent from the field.
The Raptors are mostly healthy now after injuries took three starters out of the regular lineup in December. However, guard Patrick McCaw is currently out with a broken nose that he suffered last Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
