Raptors905 kicked off their inaugural training camp on Wednesday and for the first time publicly revealed the team’s uniforms.
“With our uniform unveiling, it’s a sign that we’re getting closer to making history as the first Canadian team in the NBA D-League,” Raptors905 GM Dan Tolzman said in a media release. “Our team is excited to bring a high level of basketball to Hershey Centre and the 905, and we’re looking forward to seeing our fans come out to support this team, starting with the pre-season games later this week.”
Sporting a similar colour scheme to its NBA affiliate, the noticeable difference fans will notice between the Raptors905 and Toronto Raptors outfits is a stylized “905” emblazoned across the chest and a BMO logo underneath the number.
Advertisements have been featured on NBA Development League uniforms since 2014 and BMO is a founding partner of Raptors905.
Also of note to Raptors fans and mascot enthusiasts, alike, replacement mascot Stripes was officially unveiled as the 905’s mascot.
Raptors905 play their first exhibition game on Thursday against the Windsor Express of the National Basketball League of Canada in Windsor. They will play their first exhibition contest at Hersey Centre on Nov. 8.
The club’s season officially tips off on Nov. 14 on the road against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and will play its home opener on Nov. 19.
