Mike Brown and the Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be back in business.
The Cavaliers are said to have a handshake agreement with their former coach are expected to make an announcement on Wednesday that Brown will return to the post he held for five seasons according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron-Beacon Journal.
Brown’s first stint with the Cavaliers was from 2005-10 and he led the club to the NBA Finals in 2007. Over his final two seasons, Cleveland won 66 and 61 games with LeBron James in the fold.
After he left Cleveland the first time, he sat out for a season before taking the same posting with the Lakers. He lasted just over a season in Los Angeles before being fired just five games into this season.
Byron Scott, the man who replaced Brown in 2010, was let go the day after the season ended. He was in charge for three seasons and led Cleveland to a 64-166 record.
