Andrew Bynum was the Cleveland Cavaliers biggest free agent acquisition this summer but they may be forced to start the season without his services.
With just two weeks to go before training camps open, Bynum is expected to miss the entire preseason and may not be ready for the team’s opener on Oct. 30th against the Brooklyn Nets, according to Fox Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico.
One of the game’s top centres, Bynum was acquired by the 76ers last summer in the four-way deal which sent Dwight Howard to the Lakers. He failed to play a minute for Philadelphia last season because of ongoing knee troubles.
Two seasons ago, Bynum averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game while patrolling the paint for the Lakers.
