Utah Jazz players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have been cleared of COVID-19.

The Jazz confirmed Gobert, Mitchell and rest of the team’s players and staff “have completed their respective periods of isolation and quarantine and have been cleared by the Utah Department of Health” on the team website.

Gobert and the Jazz were at the centre of the NBA’s decision on March 11 to put the season on pause as a result of the coronavirus after the Frenchman tested positive ahead of game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Not long after the game was postponed, the league suspended the season.

The next day, Mitchell announced that he had also tested positive for COVID-19.

Many leagues around the sporting world followed in the NBA’s footsteps, including the NHL, MLB and MLS, postponing their seasons in the days after the NBA’s decision.

Now, more than two weeks since that postponed game in Oklahoma City, the sporting world is at a standstill as COVID-19 continues to spread.
