Joe Johnson has committed to sign with the Houston Rockets after his buyout with the Sacramento Kings is complete, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Johnson was recently acquired by the Kings from the Utah Jazz in a three-team trade-deadline blockbuster that saw both Rodney Hood and George Hill sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 36-year-old has averaged 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on 42 per cent shooting this season in 32 contests for the Jazz. Johnson is hitting just 27 per cent from three-point range, well below his career average of 37 per cent.
