Indiana Pacers general manager Chad Buchanan has declined to interview with the Chicago Bulls, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Since Buchanan took over as GM of the Pacers in 2017, Indiana has had a .590 win percentage and was on track to reach the playoffs for a third consecutive season.
The Bulls are looking to hire an NBA executive for the team’s top basketball operations position and have put together a list of candidates that includes Toronto Raptors GM Bobby Webster. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the person would have “full authority” on basketball decisions.
Chicago also plans to seek permission to interview Denver Nuggets GM Arturas Karnisovas and Miami Heat assistant GM Adam Simon.
