Toronto Raptors assistant coach Rex Kalamian has agreed to join the Los Angeles Clippers as part of Doc Rivers’ coaching staff, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Kalamian has spent the last three seasons with the Raptors under Dwane Casey, first getting hired on by Toronto on June 29, 2015.
When Casey was fired by Toronto last month, Kalamian was considered for promotion to the head coaching position, but was ultimately passed over for fellow assistant Nick Nurse.
Kalamian now joins a Clippers team that finished 10th in the Western Conference last season with a 42-40 record.
