Toronto Raptors centre Marc Gasol is out indefinitely with a strained left hamstring, the team announced Thursday.

The injury occurred late in the first quarter of the Raptors’ win over the Detroit Pistons when the 34-year-old was running back in transition. The big man grabbed at the back of his left leg and went straight to the locker room with trainer Alex McKechnie.

In 26 games this season, Gasol is averaging 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
