The Phoenix Suns have acquired Mikal Bridges, the No. 10 pick of the 2018 NBA Draft, from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for No. 16 pick Zhaire Smith and a 2021 first-rounder.
Bridges is a two-time NCAA champion, winning in 2016 and this past season with Villanova. Last season with the Wildcats, Bridges averaged 17.7 points and shot 43.5 per cent from three-point range.
Smith is a freshman guard out of Texas Tech who is hailed as more of a defensive specialist.
Earlier in the draft, the Suns selected Arizona centre Deandre Ayton with first-overall pick.
