Jeremy Lamb is many things. He’s a key member of the Charlotte Hornets, a University of Connecticut alumnus, a Gemini, and this season he has been a more efficient raptor killer than Robert Muldoon.
For the second time in the past two weeks, Lamb hit a game-winning three-pointer in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter to defeat the Toronto Raptors.
Two weeks ago, it was a classic half-court buzzer beater at Scotiabank Arena – one of the best mic-drop moments of the NBA season.
Friday night’s terrific trey wasn’t quite a buzzer beater, but turned out to be just as good as one.

Friday’s winner, which was set up beautifully by Kemba Walker, also kept the Hornets’ slim playoff chances alive for the time being. They remain the lowest-seeded team in the East not yet mathematically eliminated.
“Lamb’s been fantastic,” Hornets coach James Borrego said after the game. “He’s done everything we’ve asked of him. … He’s given us a fourth-quarter confidence. He’s comfortable in those moments. Give him a lot of credit.”
The loss didn’t mean anything in terms of playoff seeding for the Raptors as they were locked into second in the East after the Bucks clinched first place Thursday. It did, however, inspire some amusing tweets.
Here’s a look at some of the best reactions to Lamb’s latest heroics.
