Top Canadian recruit Murray commits to Kentucky

Top Canadian point guard prospect Jamal Murray has committed to the University of Kentucky.

The 18-year-old made his intentions known during a national telecast.

At six-foot-five and blessed with phenomenal athleticism and vision, Murray has been one of the most sought-after recruits in college basketball, listed as the 30th best prospect in the 2015 class, according to 247 Sports.

A native of Kitchener, Ont., Murray played his high school basketball just an hour north in Orangeville, Ont., at the Athlete Institute, a Canadian-based AAU prep program.
