Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto (The Dragon) Machida will meet former Strikeforce middleweight title-holder Luke Rockhold on April 18 in the main event of a televised UFC card in Newark.
Machida (22-5) is ranked third among 185-pound contenders. Rockhold (13-2) is No. 5.
The two have a combined six post-fight bonuses in their last seven fights.
Machida, 3-1 since dropping to 185 pounds, has beaten middleweights Mark Munoz, C.B. Dollaway and Gegard Mousasi while losing to champion Chris Weidman.
Rockhold has won three straight, dispatching Michael Bisping, Tim Boetsch and Costas Philippou.
