The Ottawa Redblacks are making changes to their coaching staff, with defensive coordinator Barron Miles and the team mutually agreeing to part ways.
Miles joined the Redblacks back in Dec. 2022 and has been in charge of the team's defence. Prior to joining Ottawa, Miles was the defensive co-ordinator with the Montreal Alouettes.
“Barron has served our football club with class and professionalism over the last two seasons,” Redblacks head coach Bob Dyce wrote in a statement. “We thank him for his contributions to our team, and wish him nothing but the best going forward.”
The former CFL safety also coached at Bishop's University. Miles played for 12 seasons in the CFL with the Alouettes and B.C. Lions, winning two Grey Cups in 2002 and 2006.
Ottawa's season came to an end following a 58-38 loss in the CFL's East semifinal against the Toronto Argonauts.
