Glenn Howard and his team from Penetanguishene, Ont., announced Monday they've decided to stick together for next season.
Howard, 59, is a four-time world and Brier champion and as a skip has won 14 Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling men's titles, second only to Kevin Martin (18).
His current lineup includes his son, Scott Howard, at third alongside second David Mathers and lead Tim March.
"After considerable reflection over the past few weeks, Team Glenn Howard has decided to continue on together for the 2022-23 curling season," the team said in a statement. "Although Scott, David and Tim tried their best to find an age limit in the fine print for men's competitive curling, it turns out Glenn is still in fact very much eligible to play, and with his 'can't stop, won't stop' mindset the three musketeers thought best to keep 100 per cent of points they accumulated on the same team.
"Plus, with everyone else's priority being figuring out residency rules, Team Howard's priority has been seeking out a full-time team chiropractor and stockpiling copious amounts of Advil.
"All jokes aside, after four great seasons together, the team is looking forward to continuing their momentum into the next season."
Glenn Howard missed provincial playdowns due to injuries and Scott skipped the squad to the Ontario Tankard and a berth in the Brier. Glenn recovered in time to compete in his 19th Canadian men's curling championship earlier this month and the team finished with a 4-4 pool record.
Glenn captured world and Brier titles in 1987 and 1993 while playing third for his brother, Russ Howard. He then skipped his own squads to double gold medals in 2007 and 2012.
Team Howard has one event remaining this season as they're set to compete in the Princess Auto Players' Championship, a Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling major tournament, April 12-17 at Toronto's Mattamy Athletic Centre.
