Sweden remains unbeaten at women’s curling championship

NORTH BAY, Ont. – Sweden remained unbeaten with an 8-4 win over Germany in Wednesday’s morning draw at the world women’s curling championship.

Anna Hasselborg’s team took control with a deuce in the fourth and a steal of two in the fifth to improve to 8-0.

Sweden was scheduled to take on host Canada later Wednesday in an evening draw.

In other early draw scores, Switzerland beat Denmark 7-5, South Korea edged the United States 9-8 and Scotland beat Japan 10-7.

Canada and South Korea were scheduled to play in Wednesday’s afternoon draw.
