Sportsnet NOW FAQ
What is Sportsnet NOW?

Sportsnet NOW™ is the digital destination for viewers to watch live streaming of Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Pacific, Sportsnet West, Sportsnet One, and Sportsnet 360 anytime, anywhere on a variety of different devices.

If you are a Sportsnet subscriber, Sportsnet NOW is available to you at no additional cost with participating cable/satellite/IP TV providers. Check with your TV provider for details.

If you do not have a television subscription, you’ve reached the place for direct purchasing.

How much does it cost per month?

If you do not have a television subscription, Sportsnet NOW is available through a monthly subscription of $24.99 per month, plus applicable taxes. Find out what content you’re getting in Sportsnet Now by clicking here.

Can I access Sportsnet NOW internationally?

No. Sportsnet NOW is only available for use in Canada. If you are travelling abroad, you will not be able to stream our channels.

Why is there lag between a live game on TV and the Sportsnet NOW stream?

The lag time compared to live broadcast is dependent on the device being used, the location and connection of the user, and other factors. The lag time is typically between 30-60 seconds.

Because internet streaming lags behind television, your sports apps may send off a notification of a goal or a result before you have seen it. If you wish for this not to happen, you must disable your game alerts/notifications.

Will I be required to sign in every time I visit Sportsnet NOW?

As long as you have cookies enabled, your login is remembered and you should not have to login via future visits to the site or apps in the majority of cases.

There are a number of cases that will require you to enter your login credentials again, including periodic expiry of your login, clearing of browser cache, switching browsers, logging out, or visiting in private mode on your PC.

Why does some of the content in Sportsnet NOW differ from what is shown on television?

In rare circumstances, Sportsnet does not have the same rights to show content online or mobile as it does on TV. If that is the case, we may blackout specific programming.

Are there NHL regional blackouts in Sportsnet NOW?

Sportsnet NOW is held to the same blackout rules as the Sportsnet channels on television. As a result, blackouts apply to Sportsnet’s regional games of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks.

For these regional games, you must be in a team’s broadcast territory in order to watch their regional games in Sportsnet NOW. For example: if you are in British Columbia, you are in the Vancouver Canucks territory and can watch all 46 regional games that the Canucks play on Sportsnet Pacific, in addition to every national game the Canucks play, totaling all 82 games of their season.

Click here to learn more about regional blackouts.

I think an NHL regional blackout is being incorrectly applied. What do I do?

Since Sportsnet NOW is designed for you to be able to watch “in-market” or “regional” NHL games, in addition to all national games, you should not experience any blackouts for your local team.

If you are experiencing a blackout that you feel is being incorrectly applied, please email nowsupport@sportsnet.ca and they will help remedy the situation

How can I watch regional games that are not available in Sportsnet NOW in my region?

If you wish to watch regional games that are outside of your designated viewing region, you can subscribe to Rogers™ NHL GameCentre LIVE® to watch games that are only broadcast outside of the teams’ local market. Please visit https://gamecentrelive.rogers.com/en/ for more details.

Is there a way to watch a show or game after it has aired?

If you wish to watch Sportsnet original programming after it has aired, you can access it on-demand on our desktop site. Simply sign in and proceed to the ‘Shows‘ tab, click on your desired show and episode and begin streaming.

If you missed a game and would like to watch it, proceed to our desktop site to utilize the “look-back” feature. Sign in and proceed to the Schedule’ tab and roll the schedule back to the date and time the game originally aired and click on it to begin streaming.

Note: The look-back functionality is only for the past 24 hours. Anything beyond that time period is not accessible.
