PARK CITY, Utah — Australia’s Lachlan Morton won the final stage of the Tour of Utah on Sunday to take the overall title in the seven-leg competition.

Twenty-two seconds behind leader Andrew Talansky entering the 78-mile finale, the 24-year-old Morton ended up beating Adrien Costa by 1 minute, 9 seconds for Team Jelly Belly.

"My team was incredible," Morton said. "You speak to people in the race, they didn’t expect our team to quite as strong as they were."

Costa was second in the stage, 31 seconds behind Morton.

Talansky was fourth in the stage and third overall, 1:39 back.

The stage started and finished on Park City’s historic Main Street.
