As England's men's soccer game against the Netherlands approached the final buzzer, The Killers stopped the music and put the Euro 2024 semifinal on the big screen.
When the final whistle sounded to seal England's huge win, the arena lit up and confetti shot out to the crowd as the fans roared their approval. The scene was shown on several social-media accounts.
The Killers then went right into their biggest hit — "Mr. Brightside".
Just last month, American rapper Snoop Dogg wore an Oilers jersey on the stage during a concert in Edmonton on the eve of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. He then predicted an Oilers win against the Florida Panthers the next night, which turned out to be accurate.
As the Killers belted out the lyrics "destiny is calling me," toward the end of their crowd-pleaser, England fans could only hope they were referring to a win in the Euro final against Spain.

The band's tour touches down in Madrid on Saturday, just one day before the big Spain-England tilt.
