Spain’s Lamine Yamal became the youngest-ever goal scorer at the men’s European Championship on Tuesday with a stunning equalizing strike against France.
Just 16 years and 361 days old, Yamal curled a perfectly placed shot from outside France’s 18-yard box just the inside of the post to reel Spain back into their semifinal, after falling behind 1-0.
Yamal, who plays for Barcelona in Spain's La Liga, has appeared in every match for Spain and has played an integral part in its offensive production during his first-ever major tournament.
He broke a similar age barrier at the beginning of the tournament as well, becoming the youngest player to ever play in a European Championship following his start against Croatia in the group stage.
