VANCOUVER — A former BC Lion convicted of sex crimes at Vancouver SkyTrain stations will spend another six months behind bars.
Josh Boden has been sentenced to a year in jail, but has already spent six-months in custody, which will count as time served.
The former CFL wide receiver was convicted in December of two counts of sexual assault and one count each of obstruction of justice and assault on a police officer dating back to 2009.
Crown lawyer Michaela Donnelly said it took four officers, one civilian and a police dog to subdue Boden during his arrest after one of the sexual assaults.
After his release, Boden will be placed on probation for three years.
