REGINA — Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant will be sitting on breakfast tables starting July 5.
The CFL athlete says Federated Co-op stores in the province are planning to release a cereal called Dari-o’s with his face on the box.
The Co-op did the same thing last year when it featured wide receiver Andy Fantuz on boxes of Fantuz Flakes.
The cereal sold out within hours.
Fantuz has moved on to the NFL and Durant has been picked to fill the breakfast void.
He says he doesn’t expect to sell more cereal than Fantuz did, but wanted to take what he called a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
