The CFL is about to make its product available to a much wider audience.
According to Chris Toman of Vice Sports, the league will begin streaming all of its playoff games, including the Grey Cup, free on YouTube.
The games will still also be broadcast on television in North America, but they’ll be made available to fans in more than 100 countries worldwide through the online stream.
An official announcement is expected to be made soon, Toman reports.
The 2015 CFL playoffs begin Nov. 15 and the 103rd Grey Cup take place Nov. 29 at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg.
Streaming games live and free to an international audience is a growing trend in sports broadcasting.
In late October, the NFL streamed a Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game, which took place in London, England, to an international audience on Yahoo!. The experiment was reportedly a massive success after drawing big ratings.
